critterclock2.gif (23894 bytes)  If you use a network connection and Internet Explorer 5

I experienced some trouble with my new version of Internet Explorer 5 and my network connection after I first installed it. I was doing the set up for IE5 and in the connection setup I noticed that the default for LAN (Local Area Network) users was set to auto discover. If your just out surfing this setting is fine. I experienced trouble when I logged onto the Zone to play. The auto discover feature seems to cause your connection from the Zone server to be dropped. I had a hell of a time the first couple days until I figured out what was causing the problem. Once I turned off this feature my problems vanished and things returned to normal. I have to say that while visually only a few things seem to change in the new I.E. release, it has been by far less troublesome than it's predecessor IE4. I'm really diggin this radio feature that's built into the shell. I always wanted to add a FM Tuner card to my PC but with the radio in IE5 I don't need to now. Really cool feature, ya think Billy Boy rocks out at home with this? I picture him listening to Barney reruns on Dweebs.com!
